had a lovely stay at the bat and ball b&b. everything was so clean n well decorated, our king room was a nice size and the bed was super comfy. breakfast was amazin with fresh pastries n berries, and the staff were really friendly. its close enough to attractions and walking distance is not that bad. we enjoyed exploring the cathedral n xmas markets nearby!
the location is a bit far from the main high street, and we had to get a taxi to go out in the evening. also, parking was a bit tricky.

Outstanding Stay for Couples!
We enjoyed a cozy night in the King Room, the bed was incredibly comfortable. Although the curtains had a draft issue, the onsite restaurant served a delicious breakfast that was the perfect start to our day. Don't miss the local ales on tap!

The curtains were lovely, but didn’t block the draft from the old windows.

King Room boasts thick, quality curtains providing a cozy ambiance. The room layout offers ample space, making it a comfortable fit for a couple.
Old sash windows allow for noticeable drafts, especially with curtains unable to close fully due to incomplete rails-a design quirk I found a bit disconcerting. If you value peace, the main road's traffic noise can be an annoyance during sleep, though it wasn't unbearable. Minor nuisances like these might impact a quiet retreat mood.

Comfy stay with tons of charm
Had a cozy night in the King Room. The bed was super comfy and the place was really clean. Breakfast was a winner, with fresh pastries that hit the spot. Only bummer was the 20-min trek to town—grabbed a taxi for dinner, but it was worth it for the nice stay.

Wonderful Stay in a Cozy King Room!
We recently enjoyed a charming night in a spacious king room. The onsite restaurant impressed us with superb flavors and welcoming service. For a cozier experience, consider bringing a draft stopper for the windows. We’ll definitely return for the delightful atmosphere!
